BMW M5
A lot of words were spoken, many pages were written about the M5, but almost everything is true. The sporting saloon with the most luxurious BMW dress, that doesn’t hesitate to show its capabilities. Its distinctive look makes it intrepid species attracting anyone.
It can produce unbelievable 507 hp (374kW) with its unique high-rev 5.0 liter (4999cm3) V10 engine and that means this is one of the fastest stock produced car in the world. Yes, its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h, but this can be changed. 100 km/h takes only 4.7 seconds to beat. Not bad, ins't?
But it’s true that this engine is possible to reach higher values. And Lumma Design knows it.

BMW M5 TUNING
Geneva was the place where all the people saw this unique machine for the first time. The fancy and powerful beast made by the well-known German tuning company Lumma Design. It was reworked to the last screw. This esquire is called CLR 500 RS.

Its expressive paintworks is noticeable at first blush. The guys of Lumma Design didn’t save buckets of orange color that is used on the whole bodywork and it’s supported with black parts as rims, front grille etc.
Careful eyes of enthusiast can notice a huge change of bumpers, side sills and extended fenders.
So now the M5 is wider by 100m and that means only one thing – a perfect bodykit of beauty and skillfulness of its creators. Frankly, one thing is to tune some Daewoo Lanos and other is the tuning of the luxurious cars as BMW M5 really is.
The design of BMW M5 is very sporting also in the stock version. This realizes also Lumma Design so a modification of the front bumper is minimal. It’s visually lowered and broadened for new fenders.
Side cat eyes have no filling, but the central opening and openings of grille are filled with a black grill. The BMW badge with a chromed hem from the cooler was removed.

More tuning works were made on the rear part of the car. So now we can admire a carbon roof molding, tinted tail lights and aerodynamic elements as a tear bar on the trunk and a black massive diffuser.
In the middle of the diffuser we can see an integrated opening with a black perforated sheet and two exhaust tips with a bold 115 mm diameter.

But that’s not all. The orange-black combination is a domain of the interior too. It’s not only leather upholstery, but also parts as rugs, gauges and sporting seats. The obvious carbon (now yellow) is used on the sporting-wheel, central console, handbrake, shift knob etc. Chromed elements are pedals, gauges hems and doorknobs.
Lumma has never failed in the case of interior enhancements and also today shows its interesting qualities.
Performance of tuned BMW M5
There’s no stock performance to fully satisfied requirements set by the Lumma Design company. Also 507 hp isn’t satisfying, so this M5 has a new exhaust system, optimized ECU and bigger catalytic converter. Now the engine producing 560 hp (413kW) so the top speed 327 km/h is a piece of cake. The hot-spot of the performance tuning is a fully carbon cover of the engine.
The big power needs also some good support. So this is the matter of the leader H&R that provides a complete suspension solution lowering the car’s centroid by 40 mm. Maybe the most beautiful part of the modification are black rims that have five spokes and 21 inches. They’re made of aluminum and premium steel. Their design is as distinctive as Lumma can make. Their dimensions are 10x21“ in the front and 11,5x21“ in the back.
