CLASSIC PORSCHE CAYMAN S
Cayman S. That is stylish car that offers more than a comfortable drive. Combination of magnificent design, powerful engine and reputation of brand makes this car a full-blooded sport car without any compromises, but also a car that can simulate innocence.
Porsche offers only a single engine; however, it comes up to all expectations. It is six-cylinder 3.3 liters gas engine with maximum of 295 horse powers (217 kW) performance. With torque 340 Nm. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h can be managed by this swell in 5.4 seconds, the maximum speed is somewhere around 275 km/h. It is not by accident that this car is one of the most popular in the world.
MODIFIED CAYMAN BY TECHART
Many firms dare to adjust Porsche engines, but not many of them venture to increase the volume. But when the German tuner TechArt starts to concern with this, he has to know very well what he’s doing. The stakes are high, at least when the good reputation of this company from Stuttgart is concerned. It is necessary to say that tuners from TechArt did know what to do and the result of their effort is impaired yet untasted Cayman marked GTsport.
Tuners got down to exterior rebuilding and they started with the front part. A new TechArt front bumper with two pairs of headlights was stocked. It is designed in a way that it doesn’t increase the weight of front part (thanks to the carbon material). This is important at high speed.
The bumper is characteristic with its four openings which insure cooling of high-power disc brakes, engine and other parts. Interesting designer‘s element that can be seen so often by this kind of cars is sharp ending of bumper on its edges. As if the car wanted to bite the asphalt.

The modification continued with side of the car, where the new threshold extenders were placed. They are not particularly extra striging, but the match the rest of body very good. Above all they perfectly meet back fenders. Let’s not forget to mention carbon rear mirrors.
Also the rear part was modified, concretly it was rear bumper, which was complemented with carbon difusor with a slot for TechArt fishtails.
Furthermore, new huge spoiler made of carbon fibers was added. Here I have to mention that I like this spoiler very much. It perfectly harmonizes with the character of whole tuning and the car itself.

Since we mentioned change of volume of engine, many people will be interested in changes that were made under the hood. Actually it is not under the hood; more exactly it’s in the middle of car, because Porsche installs the engines to models Cayman in the middle. TechArt was fully aware of the hidden possibilities of this sport car. Because of this the volume of stock engine 3.3 liters was increased to 3.8 liters. This is thanks to the cylinder diameters, which was extended by 3 mm to final 99, stocked were also forged pistons. The travel was increased thanks to new crankshaft by 4.8 mm to final 82.8 mm. Additionally, there are sorting cam drive shafts, adjusted inlet pipe with filter chamber and new exhaust manifold of stainless steel.
Programmed control device is taking care of this entire "circus". Thanks to this modification, the engine performance increased by 30 per cent, which means grow to final 385 hp (283kW) and the torque stabilized at markedly higher level of 407 Nm by 4600 rpm. This change of course affected the speed and acceleration. Car accelerates from stop to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and maximum speed is 285 km/h. Flexibility of engine is apparent also between 80 km/h and 120 km/h in 6.8 seconds on fifth gear. Comfortable drive is secured also by TechArt sporting chassis which moved the car by 25 mm to the ground.

TechArt is well known for its modifications of interior which are visible also in this Cayman. New three-arm sporting steering wheel with airbag, aluminum complements in combination with color of bodywork and leather. It can be seen on seats, dashboard, door cushioning etc.
